Marketing That Grabs - Uncover This Hot Secret

    Saturday, December 1st, 2007

Boost your marketing with this secret. It is so effective, it
reaches out and grabs your would-be buyer. It doesn’t matter
what your product is. This secret works with everything.

To make it even more valuable, practically nobody uses it. That
is why it is a secret. What is it?

    It is a face.

Everyone loves to see a face. Even your pets like seeing your
face. Look at all the ways in which people are attracted to
faces. A few decades ago, there was the Potato Head craze and
later, the Pet Rock took us by storm.

People wear the face of favorite cartoon characters as charms on
pins and tie clips. We are used to receiving “smilies” in Emails
and dashing off a smiley face on a note we write.

Here are 5 ways you can use a face to sell your product:

    1) If you have a Web site, include snapshot of yourself. It
builds instant trust. Buying and selling is a personal matter
and customers like to feel they are dealing one-on-one with a
    real person.

    2) Place a picture of a person on your product. It can be on a
book cover or on packaging. Researchers discovered that viewers
are most attracted by a face that is looking straight at them -
    eye to eye.

    3) For an advertising piece, such as a mailer or a postcard, a
pet’s face is very effective. It can be used for any type of
product - not just pet products.

    4) Testimonials are powerful buying triggers. Would-be buyers
believe others who have already bought. Make your testimonials
even stronger with a picture of the testimonial giver.

    5) A child’s face is a winner. A few days ago, I saw a man
selling a filtration system on television. He held a little boy
on his lap as he spoke. Without mentioning the child, he spoke
of the benefits of his filters. Seeing that little boy’s face,
you knew you needed that filter to protect your own children.

Bottom line - put a face on your product as soon as you can.
Your marketing will come alive and good things will happen.

Write Your Own Marketing Materials, Part 1 5 Style Tips From A Pro

    Saturday, December 1st, 2007

If you’re a marketing executive with a small budget and a big need for sales letters,
web content and more, you may be looking at writing them yourself. How tough can
it be? When you were in school you got A’s in your English courses, right? Mostly
    A’s, anyway.

Before you launch in, though, consider these points: A direct mail letter is not the
same as a book report. A web page isn’t an essay. And your teachers were
    paid to read your work.

You might need some professional tricks to make this work. Let me give you a
handful right here. Follow these rules and you just might make the grade.

    Start with your audience’s needs

Tips for Promoting Your Business on the Internet

    Saturday, December 1st, 2007

Many small businesses are pretty comfortable with standard, conventional marketing methods like newspaper ads, industry publication ads, or even radio and TV ads. But promoting your business on the internet can offer many advantages that will not only get your business noticed, but save you money as well.

Web sites are the most obvious internet marketing method, since virtually all businesses large and small have a web site for providing information to their customers. If your business doesn’t currently have a web site (even a small one), you are losing out on an enormous marketing opportunity and could be giving an unfavorable impression to customers who have become accustomed to accessing web sites 24/7. Customers are also becoming more comfortable with shopping online from company web sites. Recent studies show that more than 55% of all shoppers during the 2005 Christmas season made purchases online, making online shopping one of the fastest growing benefits a company can offer from its web site.

Web-based advertising is another promotion strategy that can be cost-effective and produce great results. Ads placed on sites that are compatible or related to your business are a good place to start, or search engines like Google and Yahoo offer click-ad programs that can be very inexpensive yet quite effective. Also consider listing your company in reliable internet directories (both paid and unpaid), as well as optimizing your web site for good search engine rankings.

E-Newsletters are another great way to communicate regularly with your customers. Repetition is key here; sending out a single email or newsletter issue cannot deliver effective results. Consistency builds your credibility and also keeps your company’s name and message in front of your customers on a regular basis.

Promoting your business on the internet can be much less expensive than the more traditional methods companies have used in the past. More and more, customers are looking for you on the internet, and having an internet presence that uses a variety of internet promotion strategies can be a valuable tool for your business.
